AGENTS OF SHIELD Save Lives From COVID-19

Did you hear about the phenomenal filmmakers and the 3D printer saving lives during this COVID-19 crisis?

Chris Herr came to me and Hurlbut Visuals several years ago as an intern.  He had gone to school for a couple of semesters, but was not feeling it and he wanted a different path. After reaching out to many ASC members with letters and calls for an internship, mentorship, whatever he could do to help, I answered. 

After I saw his genius with cameras, I told Chris that if he wanted to work on set with me he needed to learn the MoVi. And boy, did he?! There is nothing he cannot do with that thing, or hasn’t done already! As such, he has been my RED tech as well as the MoVi tech for 3 MoVi systems on shoots for The Adventurers, Into The Badlands, Rim Of The World to name a few and has gone on to film some of the top grossing movies around the world. Here’s one of his popular Vlogs from when we were shooting The Adventurers together.

 

SAVING LIVES

Currently, healthcare workers on the frontline are working tirelessly to save lives and are doing so without the proper protection. That just isn’t good enough. 

So Chris and a small group of friends are helping all those saving people with COVID-19 by creating protective face shields with a 3D printer. 

The team are printing visors like below around the clock to be worn by healthcare workers. A piece of polyethylene will then be attached to the visor to act as a protective barrier between healthcare workers and patients. This truly is lifesaving equipment. 

That’s why when I heard about what Chris Herr and the team named “3D Agents of Shield” were doing, I had to get involved. 

Lydia and I are whole-heartedly behind this venture not only financially, but also in gaining support worldwide through Hurlbut Academy’s global community of filmmakers.
