Soft Light or Soft Lighting

Soft light is a term that refers to the general quality of the light. It has a wide scattering and shows a smooth transition from the deepest shadow via partial shade to the bright areas.

Soft lighting makes surfaces appear smoother and softens borders. It fills up wrinkles giving it the reputation of an ‘attractive’ light.
