Throughout my career, I have been interested in using and mastering different mediums to enhance the storytelling experience. Since the dawn of cinema, movies have been captured on celluloid. As time progressed, we introduced new acquisition formats and film gauges like 8mm, 16mm, Super 8mm, 65mm, video tape, and digital video capture. Each new format registers a certain mood/feel due to past experiences with the medium or how it’s been utilized in the history of the moving image. So, how can you utilize different formats to enhance a story?

Imagine being able to have the fear work to your benefit. Fear is an emotion that has the potential to help us or harm us. If we recognize fear for what it is and move through it with action steps, fear can be very helpful. If we ruminate and stay stuck in fear, it is a huge roadblock to future success. This project was a culmination of creation for Inner Circle member Andrew Batista, and I was excited to see where this would take his future as an artist.
I want to show the comparisons of what most people would do with a Mac Pro in maxing it out, seeing the cost and then seeing what a nearly maxed out HP would be, for the same price point. The idea is that you wouldn’t have to max out an HP to get the performance you are looking for and you will be able to save a lot of money in doing so.

Chimera is one of my favorite lighting modifiers, and we are going to go into building one of my favorites, called the pancake. It has amazing control, and you’re able to do a lot of unique applications with this tool.
The master builds a camera design with forethought. They make it future proof; they think out of the box, providing a size that can intensify creativity and a workflow that doesn’t require terabytes of storage. The Dragon sensor has done this for the Epic. There is another camera that takes all that I just talked about and makes it even better. Your WEAPON of choice will be just that – the RED WEAPON, revealed at NAB. It is my camera of choice for my next project
G-RAID vs G-DRIVE- It all comes down to speed and performance. I think having the added speed and reliability to ensure future work makes for a solid choice.
