On May 9th, 2015, Hurlbut Visuals hosted an educational event at Revolution Cinema Rentals where President and CEO of Light Iron, Michael Cioni, and Director of Photography Sherri Kauk both gave presentations. Sherri’s presentation will be on the Hurlblog in the coming weeks.

Michael offers incredible insight into the evolution of the film landscape, diving into valuable areas of both technical and philosophical perspectives on filmmaking. Michael has made a lasting impact on the film world over the years and will continue to do so in the future, especially since Light Iron was purchased by Panavision in early December of 2014.

“If nothing changes except the lens choices, the entire project is elevated.”

#2. Fidelity Counts
“Who is fidelity really important to?”

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for the additional parts of the Golden Nuggets.  Michael talks about collaboration, future proofing, “price per frame,” and much more.
