Reflectors

Reflectors are the workhorse of the day exterior shooting environment. They have a hard side that can be either silver or gold, then a soft side that is either silver leaf or gold leaf. The boards have soft leaves on one side and it confuses the beam of the sun and makes it softer than a flat silver or gold surface. They can come in two different sizes 42” x 42” or 24” x 24”.

Mirror reflector boards are also used to reflect sunlight or other light sources. They have a mirror on one side and hard silver on the other. Gold boards are really good for late afternoon light as well as for dark skin tones.
