Desaturated Color
Desaturated Color refers to colors of less luminosity and vividness. Desaturated colors have a reduced amount of the initial color (hue) due to the addition of their complementary color.
Complementary colors are colors that face each other on the color wheel. When mixed, two complementaries reduce each other’s saturation towards grey. In other words, they desaturate each other.
