By Lydia Hurlbut
We first envisioned Hurlbut Visuals when I went to visit Shane shooting Act of Valor in Puerto Rico. What began as a way to showcase his pioneering ability with the Canon 5D Mark II camera expanded to include the hurlblog, the HDSLR rentals division, an educational bootcamp, and a production arm devoted to fund and produce independent projects. In today’s competitive marketplace, we have been challenged to create business solutions that speak to both independent companies and large corporations. Visual storytelling combined with the practical knowledge and teaching gift of Shane and the Elite Team has provided the solution.
As CEO and co-founder of Hurlbut Visuals, I joined Carl Olson, Chris Fenwick and Mitch Aunger on the Digital Convergence Podcast. We had a wonderful conversation about business, marketing, branding, education and building a team in the world of filmmaking.
